14-Year-Old Florida Dog Rescued After Swimming 9 Miles from Coral Gables to Biscayne Bay

Fergie must be dog tired. The 14-year-old pooch was saved by a Miami Fire Rescue boat on Monday after she decided it was a nice idea to go swimming in the waters off the coast of Southern Florida. The senior pup swam about nine miles from Coral Gables, Florida, to Biscayne Bay, according to NBC Miami who reported the story and filmed a video of the dog’s reunion with her owner. Miami Fire Rescue said someone living in a condo called 911 when they spotted the black Lab in the middle of the bay.
